However, one significant challenge that remains is how to simulate movement within virtual environments. Addressing this gap, "Walker" sets out to innovate and demonstrate how a treadmill can serve as a solution for both technical and narrative aspects in VR experiences.
Walker offers an interactive VR experience where users walk on a treadmill. Progression in the narrative occurs only when users and their in-game character move forward together. Walking becomes an integral part of the physical and storytelling experience, ensuring a seamless blend of immersion and narrative progression. The journey unfolds linearly and continuously as users encounter various narrative and interactive points. Additionally, a drone character within the experience serves as a guide, enhancing the immersive storytelling experience.
